The collaboration between Billy and Tobias began in 2020, at the back end of the Covid pandemonium. With their individual practices unexpectedly interrupted by lockdowns and social distancing, Billy and Tobias began working together to develop what is now the Syntropy of Yoga. In sharing their philosophical approaches to health of mind, body and spirit, they realized that the Synthesis of yoga and Osteopathy creates the perfect framework for teaching others all they need to know to heal themselves.

Billy Konrad

Tobias Lotan

Tobias started his career in body work as a massage therapist in 2009. In 2015 he completed his education in the University of Wales and became an Osteopathic Doctor. He always had an aversion to the traditional diagnostic model where the doctor is seen as the “savior” and the patient as the “victim”.

Committed to empowering his clients with their own ability to heal, Tobias began to use movement as medicine, integrating tailored exercise protocols in each treatment session. Serendipitously, it was at this time that his path converged with Billy Konrad’s and the Syntropy of Yoga, a synthesis between Iyengar Yoga and Osteopathy was born.

Guiding Vision

All primary texts from the Vedic/Yogic tradition assert that the cause of human suffering is avidya, lack of knowledge of self, and its embodiment. The cure to this suffering, therefore, is vidya, acquired knowledge of self and its embodiment. Yoga is an instrument to reveal the divine being encoded in the human embodiment. It is an art and a tradition designed to unlock that code, and reveal the divinity within. Through an organized, comprehensive, step by step curriculum, Billy and Tobias will guide the students through a 3-year detailed exploration of the various layers and sheaths of that embodiment. From the structural, mechanical outer frame; through the vast elegant network of the physiology and pranic systems; into the deeper realms of the psyche, the various psychological profiles, and the fire of their emotions; and deeper still into the ethereal realms of the Self, the ever present jiva, and the profound silence of being itself. Sat.
